Cecilia Bergman

Intervention Manager

Cecilia brings an enthusiasm for working in bilingual Spanish/English environments, focusing on client-centered programming, social justice advocacy, and human rights defense. Prior to joining Common Justice, Cecilia worked at human rights organizations in Mexico and El Salvador and spent almost 3 years in Boston helping clients apply for food stamps at an antihunger organization called Project Bread. Raised in the greater Washington D.C., area, Cecilia became interested in political advocacy from an early age. From attending marches with her mom, to growing up in a diverse public school, she attended a Spanish immersion program from kindergarten-8th grade. She, later, received a degree in Spanish and Global Development studies from Grinnell College and when she’s not learning about social change, you can find her rejuvenating in the outdoors or playing ultimate frisbee.
