Trauma Support Manager

Yozmine Modeste holds a Master in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the College of Staten Island and has been an activist and support for people of color working in underserved communities and schools. In an effort to combat the School- to-Prison Pipeline, much of Yozmine’s work has been providing skills, supports and resources to youth and their families. Through her work, Yozmine continues to raise awareness about mental health in communities of color and offer a space for people to feel safe to explore and discuss their experiences and facilitate healing.

“I work at Common Justice because survivors have the power to redefine their narrative and Common Justice facilitates ways to do just that.”
