Shanyse Inez Scott

Senior Intervention Manager

Shanyse Inez Scott is the Senior Intervention Manager in the Bronx. Shanyse is an Air Force veteran, that spent her off-duty time in the military volunteering with survivors of rape and domestic violence. After seven years of honorable service and volunteer work, she decided to attend New York University. While at New York University, Shanyse was a Research Assistant, examining adolescent pathways to violence and disruptive behavior. The research was conducted through a gender-sensitive lens, addressing the fact that women and girls represent the largest growing population in the criminal legal system.

After graduating with her Bachelor of Science in Applied Psychology, Shanyse began working directly with at-risk youth and individuals charged with violent felonies. She has over ten years of experience working with individuals that have experienced persistent inequality and chronic trauma. As the Senior Intervention Manager, she is dedicated to equitable responses to trauma and healing for both harmed and responsible parties.
